These dudes started out exploring the deep dimensions of the drone world, and have recently (in the last year or so) started putting out records with songs that actually resemble rock (somewhat). This album is what I always wanted this band to sound like: they still have the chaos of their drone albums, but with a heavier dynamic after adding in drums and bass. The result is a beautifully noisy record that feels like it could go on forever, but in the good way. Last song is a dooo0ozy!

Daaaaamn, I feel like I've been waiting for this album forever! Ever since I heard Forgot About Dre in 5th grade, I knew the man was on point. I gotta say though, that this is the direction I always hoped he would gravitate towards. As a middle class white guy, I can't really "get down" with guns and gangsters; I prefer to hear auto-tuned songs about getting tipsy off of champagne at the strip club. Hopefully we can get some Kid Cudi remixes soon! Pick up this hot fire kid, you know you've been waitin' on it!!!

This shit just rips. Ever have a bad day? These dudes have. You can tell by the frantic way the singer howls at you and the dissonant guitar riffs. Drums, bass, and a righteous synth round out the sound and rip your face off. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS IF YOU LIKE PUNK EVEN A LITTLE BIT!!!!!!!!!!1 Best punk record to come out in a while.

These dudes rule. Just two dudes shredding their instruments on a sugar high of 99% pure cocoa. This album doesn't have much in the way of structure, but it's great to let it ride and just see where it goes. Both of the musicians are extremely talented (and have many other projects, as is the norm of this type of music). Very eastern-influenced raga sound!!!

Yet another too-long period has lapsed since the last post. Therefore I'ma hit y'all with an XL series of posts! First up is my favorite Oh Sees album. This one was made before they polished up their recording sound, so it's nice and fuzzy. The melodies are catchy but just weird enough to be distinctive. The female-male vocal pairing is pretty pitch perfect as well. Grab this! Moar comin'!

This is one tough to describe album! It's comprised entirely of samples (one of the first to do this, along with DJ Shadow's Endtroducing...) and it all flows as one long dance song. I don't know what else to say other than this album is definitely essential and one of the best from the last decade. It just makes ya feel GOOOOOD! (^_^;)

Well, it's been a while since I updated, so naturally the first thing I post has got to be awesome right? This mixtape is just fire...it's something like 28 songs that are mostly under 2 minutes, with no hooks and no featured artists. This is a solid hour of Bun B going his hardest and destroying anybody who would say otherwise. The dude seriously just starts freestyling as soon as the beat starts without any warm-up and goes til it's over. UGK 4 LIFE/////RAP-A-LOT 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!
